Get the care you deserve at The Lactation Network

About THE LACTATION NETWORK

Lactation care is not a privilege, it’s a human right. At TLN, we believe that every family deserves expert lactation support.

ALL caregivers DESERVE CARE

TLN is setting a new standard for parents and lactation consultants alike.

At TLN, our movement goes beyond any single outlet or tool. We activate education, connection, and advocacy to foster the new network of inclusive care between parents and IBCLCs: The network where every caregiver has the resources to thrive.

TLN is powered by the largest network of IBCLCs in the country.

TOGETHER, we’re advocating FOR YOU TO GET THE CARE YOU DESERVE.

EXPERT CARE

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants are essential medical professionals empowering parents to protect their health and feed their babies.

  • connect families
    Connection

We connect families with IBCLCs—the gold standard in expert lactation care—because every family deserves access to this crucial preventative care. And we support IBCLCs in growing their private practices so they can focus on what matters most: Growing families.

    Access

To provide the most access, we connect healthcare providers with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants for their patients. Additionally, we work with health plans, employers, and health care providers to ensure comprehensive insurance-covered lactation care, providing in-home, in-office, or telehealth consultations.

Our Why

Breastfeeding has long-term health benefits for both parents and babies. To achieve these benefits, the CDC and WHO recommend breastfeeding exclusively for a baby’s first six months of life.

While 84% of American families start out nursing, only 24% are still exclusively nursing at six months. That means most U.S. families do not achieve their feeding goals, and don’t have access to the health benefits that come with breastfeeding.

At TLN, we help families reach their feeding goals. We’re here to make sure families get the expert, insurance-covered lactation care they deserve.

OUR PARTNER

The Melanated Mammary Atlas is a mobile-friendly web application that features a constantly expanding searchable directory of images of breast/chest-related conditions on skin of color. It is the most extensive collection of such images for diagnostics, assessment, and education purposes. Healthcare providers across six continents use the MM Atlas to give people of color the informed lactation care they deserve.
